PAST CLASSICS: Christmastime is Here
Team Hurley tinfoil robot brother (2002). Runs on 4 car batteries. Programable Polish, Spanish, Jamaican and British accents. Hours of fun. Key phrases: ‘That’s Tight,’ ‘Holt Up,’ ‘What’d I Just Say?’ and ‘Low Battery.’ Also includes ‘laugh mode,’ which samples your own laugh and doubles it perfectly. Operating volume is no louder than a household vacuum cleaner (90 decibels).

PAST CLASSICS: Infernal Loop PR Campaign
This poster was part of our ‘limited’ commercial campaign for The Infernal Loop. I remember when we showed up for this screening, the projectionist was really pumped to recognize Kyle from the film and started mimicking the hand gesture he does onscreen. Then, since the ‘special engagement’ was actually a film festival, a woman gave this super-long academic introduction to the film which I thought was tight, but wasn’t able to necessarily hold back laughter during. The highlight was that we submitted an hour version of the loop of which they actually screened what seemed to be a solid 10+ minutes. To top it off, we took the $100 prize for our category, but unfortunately received a check made out to ‘Cooper Black.’

PAST CLASSICS: 30 Hubs Shirtless
Before you ask, let me just say I too have no idea what Hubley was up to with these. I found these gems amidst a roll of 30 or so extremely similar shots of Hubley standing shirtless in front of a variety of faded vista backdrops. He was a bit shy and tightlipped about their origin, but I do remember him saying something like ‘don’t post these’ or something. I wonder what that could have meant?

PAST CLASSICS: Grizzly Mural, 2005
Man vs. nature has never looked so tight in this bold, silhouetted, basement-level masterpiece. Part rochart test…part obvious illustration of man, gun, beast and cigarette.

PAST CLASSICS: Intimidation Factor
Sometimes there is no reason to learn a sport when you can simply intimidate your way to victory without actually having to compete. Kyle demonstrates his famous ‘tennis pose,’ which led him to an undefeated ranking in 2001.
